Baton leads the category with SOC 2 Type II certification

February 3, 2023

Finding implementation project management software providers who are SOC2, Type II compliant is not easy, even though more and more companies now require it. Baton now leads the way with SOC 2, Type II certification.

And for those not sure why they should care about SOC 2 Type II, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) developed it to address escalating concerns over data privacy and system security.

SOC 2 audit reports focus on service organizations’ non-financial reporting controls and information security policies and procedures, as they relate to “Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity and Privacy.”

Baton’s SOC2 Type II audit was conducted by independent third party, Dansa D’Arata Soucia LLP. In conducting this audit, Baton maintains its adherence to one of the most stringent, industry-accepted auditing standards.

From a business perspective, we conducted these comprehensive audits for a number of reasons. Here are a few worth calling out:

Assurance: Conducting and passing a SOC 2 Type II independent audit provides Baton’s customers, and of course, their customers, with a strong sense of assurance that our platform meets strict and established standards for system security and privacy.

Industry Compliance: A significant percentage of Baton clients conduct business within industries where data privacy and security are among their most critical concerns. Our work with software companies in Financial Services, Healthcare and other vertical markets has led to a culture here at Baton where a top priority in building our product roadmap is helping customers comply with industry-specific regulatory mandates by providing a secure, compliant tool for safe collaboration.

Baton Customers Require It:  Implementation is often a critical process where the access to private and sensitive data is afforded to employees, vendors and even third parties. For many of our software customers, going beyond industry requirements is how they stay ahead and ensuring that Baton processes are highly controlled helps them mitigate risk of unauthorized access and data theft.

Advantage Baton – At this time, most providers of client onboarding and implementation process management tools have yet to meet the SOC2 Type II standards.

Baton plans to sustain our lead in meeting data security and privacy standards. If you have any questions about SOC2 Type II compliance that are not be answered on our Trust page, please contact your Baton rep or email us at: info@hellobaton.com
